You would not know there is a very important midterms going on in my neck of the woods of Northampton County or that Shapiro was running for reelection. The signs on roadways are mostly sparse or Republicans. Personal houses sparse but when see mostly Dems but it's still small and haven't ventured everywhere, not the places where I chauffeured NYC canvasing helpers back in 2024. Bob Brooks has no real ads or outreach but I get swamped by pro and negative MacKenzie ads. Someone I know watches different YouTube so they get a lot of ads, I just use Youtube for music mostly, so maybe I'm missing things. 

Pa-7 is the bellwether and it encompasses more than Northampton but Susan Wild despite losing PA-7 overall won here in 2024 despite Casey and Haris withering. Kind of matching how close the electoral college was in a way. I don't know what the Northampton County Dems are doing and PA All In is gone, no outreach. Tons of texts of Shapiro begging for money, though I know he's trying to focus on state legislation being flipped, but could do better even though he is running against another weak far right psychopath. Susan Wild ran a real machine and something happened after the election loss in 2024 that is kinda of not great. 

Maybe I'm wrong and to be honest I'm not attached to the midterms cause I don't have faith in the DNC, it feels like a red herring of sorts also. 'Don't focus on the structural, look how bad Trump is doing!' 'The people who keep the lights on, the grownups need to some of the keys back to at least turn the fan on since it's so uncomfortable and stuffy feeling under all those fires happening in the building.'

Oh almost forgot to mention the Northampton County Dem outreach that I did get occurred a week because of my loyal support (I guess the canvassing?) That I am invited to a gala a week and a half before the election for $125 a ticket with special guest Chris Deluzio (he took over Connor Lamb's old seat). Like...speechless to be honest and a bit of rage eye roll. 

If it's a blue wave-wave will that even do anything? Who's even running on anything having a message or plan of sorts for 2028 besides Van Hollen who likely wouldn't get the nom, you have to have optics. Did you see all the shitty Harris polls and support? Then right behind nipping at her heels, is the backstabber with a pen and a smile carting away the homeless possessions Newsom? Voters man... 

Every generation faces the same situation of aging and realizing the world you grew up in and influenced you in your prime years of education and experience to prepare you for the world ahead no longer exists. Many events have also caused the "the world you grew up in no longer exists" button to keep going off while you're trying to manage and get ahead. But how did you think you would get ahead of time? 

You watch all the young people scramble in their own unique bubble on the timeline and not sure how they manage as you're all treading/floating/drowning in some way or another. 

All the people who have power will not stop having power. On Instagram some years back I observed a man's comment to Greta Thunberg about her anger and despair pleading to the powers to take it seriously the climate crisis. He said he appreciated her fight but it was older than her, things already set in motion before she was even born that she cannot prevent it coming to pass. That she needn’t feel immense pressure and guilt to solve and save it all. He himself was older from what I could tell in his profile picture, so he will not be here for the world that she will have to grow old in. 

The rest of us (mostly) has rescinded to grow old in accepting that it can't really be different, no one cares, and you can never change people. The powers that be do not want a better world and they gladly will destroy the planet to prove that point because they are doing that currently and the all centuries prior. And the voters won't even give it a second thought pulling the lever. Not their problem. Their fate is on some other mythical timeline not tied to together with everyone else's. Young people don't even poll high caring about this issue anymore when it comes to elections. They have given up seeing the psychopaths who have the iron fist of rule who will not change a damn fucking thing.

The disconnect not even unique to Americans. Brazil is on the verge of electing a man who will bulldoze the rainforest even when they thought that was in the past that possibility after they threw out and punished his father. But these evil leader types are zombies ready to come back again and again. Indonesia is destroying its rainforests. Their government is killing off the wildlife. The same wildlife who don't understand why the world they grew up in no longer exists. 

What is America outside of being an empire of mass terror and violence, home and abroad? It's the country that had the Floyd protests and a few months later people stormed the capital because the antichrist was not crowned president. Four years later within months of the student encampments against the genocide of Palestinians was also when the same antichrist won the election. Just a place of impossible tensions and contradictions, but I don't think defining it only as a place of colonial and imperialist evil and darkness is the way to summarize it all. I don't think it even motivates people who want to help turn it around. There is something hopeless and demoralizing summarizing America as a one single truth and even dishonest. And we still have to get up the morning for those who can't leave. I'm not a person who is interested in having a relationship and defending a nation state with nuclear weapons or giving all my love to it. It would be nice to feel that something could still be turned around, even his first term it felt maybe it can change. But time goes forward either way.

So much of the inhumane disregard of trans people has helped led us here. People might assume the far right are the main culprits that led us to this moment but it was the spearheading from the TERFs that really brought us here. Like when people want to blame men for the forced birth horror when it's the organization of the women in the movement that paved the road for Roe to be overturned and the lack of women organized in the opposite direction.

Those fucking intellectually and emotionally stunted-scientifically dishonest-morally bankrupt TERFS and gender critical theorists, are a carcinogen to women's liberation and they must be defeated. But I don't think the feminist movement in its current form has the teeth to extract them out. It will be interesting historically how people will write about a women's movement in America during this time, but they will likely come to the conclusion there really wasn't much of one nationally as a powerful influence. Yet while the women's movement in the 60s-70s was loud (and at least better coordinated for awhile more than any of the 2010s), it was not large when you break it down to headcount.Women are a difficult group politically I have come to recognize. Maybe "women" has always been too broad of a category of people with no real way to tame it into a political monolithic reliable movement, like the working class in a way. 

On this International Women’s Day I’m actually interested in the topic of violence against women perpetuated and committed by other women. Examples such as imperialism, transphobia, racism, xenophobia, reproductive rights, economics, disability, etc. I think looking at the framework of violence against women merely as something men do and are solely responsible for leaves too much out. I'm interested why so many women do not want liberation for other women. I think ever since the fall of Roe and how that DID NOT motivate women or organize them that the thought was sparked. Also it is coupled with the witch hunt trial of Amber Heard and all the #Metoo feminists silence of that time from progressive women and celebrities. I don't think this topic is one for popular inquiry because it does not abide by political party lines. Like for example in 2020 Biden was the primary pick among Dem women voters despite all that...and Anita Hill. Also it has to be taken into account the violence women have committed against children, which a lot of women would be in denial or defensive over. I hope someone does some work in this area or is.

People who tell you to not care about things such as politics will feed you to the wolves if those wolves came knocking on their door.

   I hate to say this but with everything I have been observing the last few weeks with the flood gates of evil of the files released for us to observe and pick apart, that we are being ushered into a new age of conspiracy. Which will look somewhat different in this era due to it's not outlandish conspiracies of the powerful being abusive and serial predators (they have historically always been), it's what has been suspected and expected and a long paper trail of destruction and ashes.

   Yet since the loudest "conspiracy theorists" have always tied it to some satanic and cultish explanations, well why would they be truth tellers now? No they were not right, they still draw the wrong conclusions. Trump was suppose to be the savior of Q and he is one of the ring leaders of lives being destroyed. They do not hold solutions but they can easily infect you and they are looking to grow their numbers.

   And with the addition of Gen AI and how profitable true crime, tabloid, conspiracy has also been for the capitalist class, with most of the population strapped in being able to be tuned into the news and ongoings of the world, beamed into 24/7, it's kind of fucked. There are the sharks and grifters as well swarming the feeds being rewarded by the frantic algorithms. 

   It doesn't matter your political colors they are targeting everyone and we are all susceptible. It's human after all. As well as the crimes. They are monsters for sure but they are humans and that's what is most grotesque and feels psychologically unresolvable. So we must cast them into being supernatural and not of this world. But here they are, flesh, blood, bone, all on the same mortal timeline. Once having been children themselves, having been innocent and helpless themselves, and they still decided again and again that didn't matter in their actions they took. And those who collaborated and enabled without being direct participants didn't care either. These people are also part of our collective human citizenry. That would make those who care about injustice and cruelty absolutely go out of their minds. Break the most sensitive, thoughtful, and aspiring to be caring person into vessels of fear, hate, and anger. Scouring for vengeance and power within themselves to save the children, save the world, save themselves from being drowned.

   And on top with the anti vax and trans people living lives is too much, and watching kids genocided the past two years, with no large scale political solutions and those with power to enact and wield power, the forecast is dark ahead. Good luck, you are not immune, and may you outlast the odds. 

 

People who care and are horrified (rightfully) about the files, you're not going to let yourselves get sucked into manifesting Satanic Panic part 2-reawakenings-post Q conspiracies and instead funnel your energy in advocating for a world that protects girls, children, and all people from imperialist-capitalistic-patriarchal-violent sexual and murderous wealthy predators, and not waste your time doing a Where's Waldo of all the possible celebrities and entertainers involved in the horror right?

The Washington Post has not made a bad business decision or a mismanaged one. They have made a perfectly acceptable decision in alignment with the choice of destruction by the elites. The elites who do not want a better and more informed world, or heaven forbid a well read citizenry who might be inspired to do something for their fellow humans. Who do not care about the destruction of human life on this rotating sphere. Who want to continue a world of hoarding wealth, child abuse, death, illness, torture, war, surveillance, anti art, anti human, and anti intellectualism. This dismantling is part of a broader war on those who say it can be better and it doesn’t have to be this way. Retaliation for the Floyd protests, MeToo, Palestine protests, “tax the rich,” “eat the rich,” communication and connecting on social media in the good ways actually. And maybe ultimately the world can’t be better than this and those do good believer people are wrong, but why would the elite be fighting so hard otherwise if this is all there is and can be?
