Will the left finally take Covid seriously as the greatest
health crisis and health challenge of our time*? I don't believe so, but I'll
never understand why. Covid conscious people on twitter can be inexcusable in
toxicity and drama, but they are people who feel and have been cast out of society due to illness and disability, due to Covid itself many instances. Why
not think of how and why they are that way, instead of using it as an excuse to
not deal with what is in front of us all. I see all these people (and bots)
online denying Covid loudly, angrily, melting down, and lol emojis about
vaccines and masks. Yet people I talk to in real life seem to at least get it.
Not that that's moved the needle. Did the anti vaxxers make some of the left so
timid and neglectful of Covid or are they just like all humans in denial of the
challenging things we face in the world, much out of our control. In one way I
don't want to hear about Medicare 4 All without the acknowledgement of Covid
but that would admit to mistakes and ignorance, and how many people are up for humility?
